my turbo kit came with a little black box with 4 wires sticking out... do i need this? is there anyway i can go around this thing? if not how do i install it and what does it do?

someone told me it was some sort of map sensor or something but they didnt know anything else about it

sounds like the hrc fuel cut defensor.. you need it. do a search for hrc install instructions and youll find a link..

or throw it on the ground and step on it, then buy the missing link. :thumbsup

and i thought i had a star kit not an hrc kit....

the black box is a fuel cut defender. it is supposed to "protect" your car from the "evil boost" by not letting the ecu see it. it is a good thing, when it works. the missing link does the same thing, only does a better job of it. :thumbsup
