61447, Resetting timing.. Need help. Posted by solareclipse98, Nov-28-03 04:46 AM
Okey, I have decided to just put my head back on and the new MLS headgasket. I have done a lot of research and done a lot of tests and most everyone tells me that it was most likely the head gasket that went bad. I turned the crank a few times while the timing belt was off the head... I'm a bit concerned... What are the steps i need to take to reset the timing while the block is still inside the car can i do it?
I'm going to start working on it like crazy this month to try and get it up and running... I've been stuck driving the M3 and it's not nearly as fun to drive as solar...

just the regular old T-belt change method will suffice. the crank gear has a mark that lines up with a mark on the block and do your cam gears the way you are supposed to and Bingo!!!
you do know how to do yout T-belt, dont ya? :D
