61410, Bogging issues! Suggestions ( Long!!)
Posted by freddy_00_69, Nov-26-03 04:18 PM
I have asuper 16g turbo with motofool manifold, sfmu, fmic, running 5psi. I am bogging when i get to 2ng gear and between 4000-5000 rpm for some reason. My fuel is reading rich (a/f gauge). Now i have a bad leak of oil in cylinder numer 1 and the spark plug is full of oil which in turn means i am running on 3 cylinders. I am replacing my valve cover(with new gasket), installing a new msd ignition coil, new ngk spark plugs, new hrc 2.5 downpipe, installing a batter relocator kit, new throttle body gasket, changing oil b/c since i am leaking i have a mixture of gas in my oil. This is all being done friday. Now can anyone let me know if i need to do anything else, mainly about the bogging, that i need to add to fix this problem. I have to adjust my pressures again. I have the 2.72 disk with 30lb injectors, walbro intank fuel pump and accel inline fuel pump. What should me pressures be at, i know if i search i can find them, so if i get that response its alright, i will search. Also, i think i have a 5psi wastegate actuator and i installed a turbo xs manual boost controller and no matter is i increase or decrease the boost it still reads 5 psi, it does not leak as far as i know since it doesn't drop after 5psi.

yeah do a compression test before you spend money on anything else.

I have not done a compression test, yet. How could you tell if my motor is blown, its just under boost that it bogs, is there anything else i should be looking for to show me that my engine is blown besides doing a compression test.

You are also using the wrong SFMU disc. You need the biggest one, and a bleed valve.

Where can i get one, what exactly am i supposed to do, i would really appreciate the help. I need the running right before next weekend or else i am going to have to trade it in for the srt-4 b/c i have been messing with my car for awhile trying to get it right.
