61408, Yet another Fuel preassure thread.... Posted by TXTurboGS, Nov-26-03 02:25 PM
I am confused at this moment. When buying my turbo kit and all the electronics that go with it I forgot to add an SFMU. Now, everything is installed and working. I have an FJO wideband o2 sensor with the LED display. My question is this: I have boosted as far as 8 psi with 45 psi of fuel preassure. Still, my o2 sensor show a reading of 12 at 8psi. What the hell? I bought the vortech sfmu and its on its way, arriving probably on Monday or Friday. Thanks for any input.:cheers

If you still have stock injectors that is not good, shit even with 440's I think that's still low. Don't boost till you get the SFMU. Do you have an EGT gauge?

Yeah, I forgot to say I have 440cc injectors from RC. My Vortech is due on Friday! Yeah! After that it is all finished and no more worries. :cheers

with 440cc injectors you should be around 60psi of fuel at 8lbs of boost. if your wideband is reading 12 at WOT, you are way too lean. don't boost or BOOM (eventually)

siueclipse are you sure 12 on a wide band is way to lean. I was at a dyno today and they were shooting for a 12.5-13 on a supercharged mustang. I think 12-12.5 is right on for a/f on a forced induction vehicle but I am not 100% sure. Patrick 96 GS 14.14 @ 96.5 mph on 8psi 8 Nov.02 HRC kit, S20G, FMIC, Howell bottom end 8.6 pistons, S-FMU, Blitz BOV, P&P head, SS valves, lots more little goodies

you are totally wrong.
12 is borderline lean.. anything could cause a BOOM
i run 11.1 at 19lbs of boost.
