Hey gang,

As most of you probably know...I have been planning on having my car turbo'd in time for the shootout. Well, it's crunch time, and I'm pushing hard. I have my HRC stage 2 system sitting here on my basment floor, just waiting to be installed. The problem is, I don't have a damn job to pay for the install. None of the upcoming design contracts with rokitlabs are going to be finished in time. I've already decided to have it installed by a shop that is somewhat local, and is authorized to install HRC systems.

I went in for an interview last Friday, at a GIS consulting firm. I understood the job was basically mine. Well, they offered me a job, I start in 3 months. GRRRRR. What am I to do, I need about $1200 for the install and to pay for the shootout (hotel, food, etc.).

I hope I don't have to break out my secret weapon, but Grandma does have alot of money...and I'm sure she wouldn't mind loaning me some. Hehe, I know...but this is important stuff. :P

I'd suggest you to take your time, plan out, and install the kit yourself because in future if anything goes wrong you'll know where everything is. Also if you have take the kit off because of warrenty purposes you could always take it off urself and put it back on.

and to back up that response from Junoon i'll roll up there to help ya! i never done one but from the looks of it it doesn't seem that hard. a lot of the guys on the board have installed thiers themselves.

I was just telling someone else about that (the part about if something goes wrong). nothing beats free and no ones going to be more meticulous than the owner. rack up/borrow a gang of tools, find a spot where the car doesn't have to move, jack it up, put on the jackstands and go to town until your finished. You have no job so you should have plenty of time :-) , 3wks to be exact. an idiot could figure it out by then (with hahn and our help). thats all I had to guide me and a day in a half which included not waking up until 1pm the 2nd day of working on it and plenty of soda breaks. But the first day I started at 7am sharp and didn't come in till midnight. the 2nd day I did the fuel pump with a big ass spot light in the dark(looked like I was shooting pornos back there).

Thanks Chris for the offer, but I think my problem is solved. I just recieved a call about a new design contract that will be in the works by Friday, and done by a week from Friday. Web design rules!
