One thing I've learned about modding the 2GNT is that you're never totally satisfied.

You go turbo - you want a bigger turbo.
You put in the 75 shot - you want the 100.

So I know that once I get my all-motor goals achieved, I'll want more. Whether I go high CR custom turbo or bottle-fed remains to be seen, but it just occured to me that I don't know where I'm gonna go with Daisy after the shootout and it's bugging me.

The nitrous crowd seems to be in the minority here and I like to be the underdog. So what can be done and, more importantly, what has been done in terms of N2O in the 420a.

As long as your built a 100 shot wouldnt be a problem. I remember some guy on here w/ a yellow eclipse that ran a 200 shot. I have a 75 in mine and its FUN.. plus I saved 1500 by not buying the turbo. Now I want both. Nitrous is the best bang for your buck. I'd recommend it!

Yah yellow RS i think is his screen name. He ran a 150 shot then a 200 but i never heard what came of it. With a built engine you can easily run a 125 shot. But then you might need some sort of ignition setup. Its all about the tuning when you are shooting more than a 125 shot. They dont call it a BJ in a bottle for nothin:thumbsup

im in the process of putting in a turbo in my car right now, but when im done with that i think im goin to stick to that turbo.
my question is how much extra stress is it to run nos and turbo as compared to just nos.

^^^No matter what anyone says "nitrous" is never safe on stock internals. Maybe you'll be able to squeeze for a little while but with stock internals it well catch up to you. Also with turbo you are just asking for trouble.

well you could go turbo and always up the boost and add nitrous...

or do one better custom turbo + propane injection

That's not an option. From my understanding, not only is it difficult to tune for nitrous and turbo, your internals would probably only last through the first couple runs. Our internals are weak enough with just boost, let alone adding nitrous to the mix. Keep in mind that our bottom end can only handle 300hp at the crank stock. Adding a turbo will put you up to around 200-250hp at the crank (HRC specs) depending on what setup you have and then adding nitrous will definitely put you on the borderline.

If you want to use both, you better rebuild the bottom end.
