Edit: Ya, this is their actuall supercharger that runs on 12v. It'd be cool, but turbo is still the way to go imo.
I like the idea... It made ~90 hp at 5.5psi

main problem with this setup is it is not on 100% of the time, you have to turn it on like nitrous. It only works for like 20 seconds then you have to wait for the batteries it comes with to recharge. My question is how does it control the amount of air the engine gets at different engines speeds?

BTW...can we use it as an ADDON to our current turbo charged setup?
So like I boost at 6PSI now with turbo..can I add that to my car? keekee Gil

Yeah, but your better off adjusting your wastegate to make more boost. I can't see why anyone would want boost before 3k rpms.

i've heard some shit about thomas knight turbos, i think it might have been on the 3/S board about the supercharger for the NT 3/S and how it was total crap. and the whole electric supercharger thing...

Thomas Knight ANYTHING totally sucks ass. i saw a V6 Probe with a knight turbo kit on it. worst.kit.ever. their kits are a waste.

Ah yes...for $2,000 you get a bare supercharger.
Then you supply:
2+ High-cranking amp racing batteries. Click here for more information. Starter relays Battery cables (2/0) Boost gauge FMU (Fuel Controller 8:1--12:1 VORTECH, etc.) Microswitch (mounts on the throttle body) Defeat-activation switch & relay (SPDT switch & 30 AMP standard relay) Cold air intake & air filter Blow-off valve Bypass valve Hose connectors & clamps Air-fuel meter S-AFC Electronic fuel tuner (for more accurate tuning) 200 AMP Alternator upgrade (recharge while you drive!)
By time you're done, this setup will be rather pricey. And it needs a controller to make it more useful. 14 psi off idle and 5 psi at redline doesn't sound too great. If you actually installed all this crap, I bet you'd wish you just bought a cheap NOS kit.
