60855, Cold weather & fuel pressure changes
Posted by CrashedMax, Nov-18-03 02:22 AM
I have a hahn stage 2 with stock injectors (have 30# but haven't installed them), the inline pump & Walboro 255, and the Cartech FPR (I know, I know). My idle pressure is set at 55 and static goes up to 60 (I believe this is where your at 0 on the boost gauge). It's starting to get cold out now and I notice when I first start my car the past couple days I'm getting about 62-65psi at idle. The weird thing is my static is still 60. When I push the gas the pressure goes down to 60, then when boost hits it rises like normal. My EGT's and A/F's are fine in boost. Is this normal with cold weather, is the Craptech somehow compensating for the colder (more compressed) air?

Sell the craptech.....it will only give you problems! Go with the Vortech SFMU...you'll thank me later.

I'm ordering a SFMU on Friday. Was hoping to wait for HRC and their new mystery system but I can't wait anymore.
