Sup guys.
TOday, I successfully welded teh DP and finished the FUEL system..
and now I drove out and BOOSTING MY CAR at 5-6PSI.
SO FUN!!!

But the problem is, my EGT gauge is funny.
My question now is, is my EGT fucked?
The Fuel is not enough when boosting?

(MY EGT Gauge is Greddy, in Celcius Degree. 0 - 1200C

OK, the situation is this:
-car off and Gauge is off: EGT gauge is over Max Temp. (1200+)
-car is idling: EGT will still read at over 1200C
-When I first boost the car: EGT will start to work normally
-after boosting, idle temperature is 500C
-When boosting, the temp goes up to 800C (I am scared to go higher so I stop boosting) (only takes about 5 sec to get up to 800C)
-Even without boosting, if normal driving at 70MPH, temp is at 700-750C....

Now, is it normal?

min is usually well below 400c till it warms up.
On the HW w/o boost it shoud be around 600C
Boost it can reach 800C
900C is a danger point for me. Thats where I have the red warnning light programmed to come on.
Maybe you got a bad probe?

like^^ my temp is around 3-400C when first started. on the highway cruising in 5th i'm between 6-700 depending on the engine load. only time i get to 800 is while boosting in 5th on the highway, or doing a hard 3rd gear pull. after a run... i'll idle at around 500 and it'll slowly drop. sounds like you may be a bit lean(or way rich) do you have a a/f guage? datalogger? you really need those for tuning. sounds like your guage works fin except for when you first startup. i dunno... maybe the probe needs some breaking in? call up greddy and see what they say, they're pretty helpful.

But the weird thing is, how can the beginning is so weird?

Do you guys start off at Max Temp with the Greddy Gauge?

And mine seems like STUCK until 2-3 mins of driving, then I jump from MAX temp back to 600C... my my regular driving temperature is at 500-600C... not boosting, not even 0PSI,

BTW, how can you guys tell if my car is running Lean? or Rich?

Lean: then my EGT will go higher temp right?
Right: ?? stay at lower temp?

Sounds like mabye your probe leads are reversed.
