ok.. you know the orange sleeve that comes with the hrc kit? looks pretty gross right? well. does anyone know where you can get replacement hoses for the engine compartment that will hold up against heat? or maybe even some sleeves for them or something that will protect the hose from heat?

thanx

regular hoses seem fine to me. I say keep that orange heatshield loooking thing. Maybe paint it black I guess with some engine paint it you don't want that fruity look. You can get a turbine heatshield if you want. I know you HRC guyz need it because your turbos are closer to the hose.

Hehe if they only had a radiator with the radiator opening all the way to the side so you could get more clearance

I use a stainless-steel braided hose for upper and lower radiator.

where can I get either a sleeve or SS hose for my radiator. I just have the rubber hose with nothing on it now.

We should get enough people that want one so we can have someone make us some hight quality silicon hoses.

granted my DP is a tad farther from the hose but i have the S?S slide over stuff and have had no issues. If you form fit the ornage cover to the hose and trim the crinkle part, i imagine you could use the braid stuff to cover that and have it look pretty good! at least thats my plan.

My downpipe sits up against my radiator hose. They are touching all the time. For now, I've wrapped it in some aluminum tape. It seems like the hoses can handle a lot of heat. I don't even think mine is melthing at all, and it's even touching the dp. I still don't like this though, I will probably get a flexible metal hose from Earls (a divsion of holley). www.earlsplumbing.com

I really like the look of those SS ones where did you get yours and do you guys think it will affect anything if I put one of those on without the heat sleave thingy.
