What is that N-tercooler spray?

remember.. all that does is make you run more lean which can ultimatly damage your motor.

How does it make the car run leaner?

A cooler intake charge would not make you run leaner. It cools the intake charge to allow the intercooler to work more efficient, not produce more air flow.
I still would not waste my money on it because you can make one for way cheaper than most companies want for them. The NX kit is just insanely expensive.

yes, it does cool the intake charge, but it also DOES make you run leaner. think about it: cooler air means more air compressed in a cylinder. the amount fuel is unchanged which means the SAME amount of fuel with MORE air. this equates to a lean air:fuel ratio.

WTF are you guys talking about you wouldnt spend the money for 50 HP!!! lol are you guys nuts?!}(

Right, I see what your saying but leaner is not always a bad thing. If you can compensate for the lean condition by adding fuel then I could see where you would benefit.
Don't you think?

I'm surprised that the Evo showed that much of an increase in HP considering it comes stock with a water IC sprayer. The nitrous must cool the charge A LOT more!

yes, but during the course of this post i dont see any mention of a compensatory method to counter the lean condition.
bottom line: know what you are doing when it comes to leaning out your car...or BOOM (detonation).
the concept behind IC sprayers is sound, just watch yourself.

there is a intake temp sensor. the computer does compensate for air temp. How do you think car companies get a car to run in a arizona summer or a maine winter.

it still runs lean with the IC sprayer :thumbsup

Um, they have been claiming those huge numbers for a long time. I don't believe it at all...

just know how much its leaning it out by using a pocketlogger or checkin out some gauges, like egt for example. or get a igniton retard or an aftermarket knock sensor, like msd or something. thats all that matter really, "the hammers of hell" that way you set the n tercooler spayer up to a boost activated switch at say 8psi and it sprays, your AFC or whatever you use is already cocked locked and ready to rock. same concept as water injection, with a n tercooler you have an oppurtunity to exceed 100% efficiency with your intercooler, more horsepower per psi of boost. colder air is denser air, more air molecules need to be accounted for with more fuel. more air readily available in the air:fuel charge WILL make it lean(er) but like i said, just have the afc ready for it.

Yeah... N-tercooler sprayers don't make engines go lean, but bad tuning does! If the N-tercooler creates more dense air, then you must tune for that. I'd like to see someone add 50 horsepower worth of cool air to your intake charge instantly for less $$$
