so yeah yesterday i drove and got into boosted conditions and got a CEL. i cleaned my missinglink, took off the battery and drove and everything is fine. today, drove again, same thing, CEL. when i build boost theres hesitation.

i brough this OBII reader at kragen for 100 and ran a diagnositc test and got
one code whichi is P0108 and the definition:

manifold absolute pressure/barometric pressure circuit HIGH OUTPUT.

so what the hell does that mean? is the ML not working right and letting the computer "see" boost?

i felt relieved though, cause i ran a compression test, 190 190 190 180, no oil in the water-bottle catch can!!! engine's fine WHEW!!!


i cleaned the ML yesterday when i got the cell by using a paper towel and got most of the black gunk out. any cleaning solvents i should use to clean the map sensor area too and the ML again?

I don't have a ML (yet) and still run on the dinosaur "black box" from Wyatt so I can't really help you with what to clean it with. But you def have probs with the ML allowing the MAP to see boost.

yes... it's b/c the ML is letting boost through. try soaking it in wd40. i've had this problem forever, and only got rid of it by switching back to the black box.

just get some carb/intake cleaner, spray it down, and such. then do the egr blockoff mod. that stopped mine from getting clogged again.:thumbsup
