5956, How can you tell difference between BB and non-bb? Posted by HadesOmega, Jun-05-01 09:58 AM I met up with Randy a couple days ago to compare turbo installs. I notice his turbo looks exactly like mine. He said his is a T3/T04E, mine is suppose to be a T3/T04E Ball bearing turbo. I can't remember but the sticker that was on the plastic wrapping for the turbo said Ball Bearing somewhere on it, I lost it :P Just wondering. | |

The difference is inside where you cant see it. Ceramic ball bearing cartridge versus thrust bearing. Less friction and drag = quicker spool and increased durability. | |

For paying like 600 plus more than a regular turbo it had better spool faster hehe... Randy's seems to rev faster though, I didn't exactly drive it but it has better low end, could it have something to do with his 2.5" piping? Mine's stock piping. | |
