Sup guys. I finishing doing the downpipe and I test start the car. VERY ROUGH.... choking at first...then finally got started....but choking alot. I still can't lower the fuel pressure below 55PSI.
If I am using stock injectors and running at 55-60PSI Can it be that too much fuel, that's why my car choke? Let me know ok.
All I have left now is the intercooler pipings for my FMIC..and I AM SET TO GO! Gil
**EDIT** Also one more thing. When I start the car with the turbo all in and stuff, it's my first time running with the EGT probe in. But somehow, the EGT gauge temp stay below 300C after my car started for about 5 mins.... Can that be right? or I have to drive my car inordre to get it hot? I never stepped on the gas yet...just idle ran for 5 mins.

if you have adjustable reg just turn the screw on top to lower the fuel pressure at idle, also...you need a fuel return. _________ 96 talon esi-t san clemente, ca

SOrry...I forgot to mention. I tried to unscrew it before.... disabled the FPR.... still only 55PSI. changed the spring... no help.
Just a question... changing to SMALL disk will what? (increase or decrease fuel pressure) changing to BIGGER disk will what? (increase or decrease fuel pressure) and lastly, do each disk work with ONE ring?? Thanks guys. Gil

is the egt acting normal now?
it should be around 7000 at start up and 9-10 at idle when its warm. even though your running really rich, the egt should not be that low. the fuel pressure is too high but i've read your other post and i have no clue what to tell you to lower it. that's probably the reason your idle is bad.

7000? LOL, he said Celsius. I idle at about 1000 F or more. As for the different disc's, they don't alter the fuel pressure at idle, they just change the rate (slope) of the fuel curve... e.g. 5:1, 3:1, etc, where 1 pound of boost pressure would increase fuel pressure by 5 pounds on a 5:1 rate.

OK...great...so for now... The only thing that change the idle fuel pressure is the Screw on top of SMFU and the SPRING. Am I right?
Second.... My EGT don't even Move at all.... it stay below 300C..which is before I hook it up. Can it be my gauge is FUCKED?
Thanks. Gil

Sounds like your egt gauge is not wired properly. Turn the bolt on the top of the sfmu out to lower the pressure. You have a vac signal hooked to it right?
