59449, S-AFC specific to build? Posted by weepul, Oct-25-03 06:19 AM
Buying a '96 TSi awd from a guy and he's already done a lot to it, but hasn't had an s-afc installed. If i got one installed, is there a default way to set it up, or is it tuned specifically to each setup....cause he's got some nice extras on the car. Also, how would I tune it w/o blowing up the engine? Could i take it somewhere and they tune it for me?

Take it and have it dyno tuned. You could tune it yourself with a datalogger, egt, and alot of open road, but you would get better results having it dynotuned.

all cars are different, but... if you want some base tuning settings you'd have to find a car with similar mods. You can do a lotta goofy stuff to a 4g63 that would drastically change your afc settings.
I think rre has some base settings.
