59042, Please Help QUICK!

First off, who want to get some 30lb injectors? I am going to get the setup (set of 8) we can split it! email me ok!

OK...HELP ME.
I connected my smfu and fuel gauge today.
But nothing seems to work...?

This is how I set it up!
-1995 eclipse GS
-In tank Walbro 190 fuel pump
-took off stock FPR, cut the center rod of it, remove the plastic filter, clean it, put oil on the o-ring, put it back to the fuel rail with the ring.
-hooked up my SFMU: fuel rail upper line on the driver side goes to TEE (to both the SFMU bottom side hole & fuel gauge), from bottom bottom hole of SFMU back to fuel return line hose.
-didn't hook up the vaccum line of the SFMU yet

After all the above are done and checked, I put the key in and turn it to the ACC/ON position (where all the heater and things go on) The fuel guage stay at 0PSI (or just NO MOVEMENT)

should I start the car instead?
should I put the Vaccum line into the SFMU?
Help....I have to get my car going tonite.

BTW... I am using stock injectors... so whats my static PSI, idle PSI should be? and what ring, spring and disk should I use?

THanks a ton!!!

Is your fuel pump priming?

Do your gauges get power?

what gauges are they? mech. or electronic?

I have autometers, and mine will go up to about 10 psi when the pump primes.

I have stock injectors and I use the largest disk with the silver spring.

>Is your fuel pump priming?
Priming? do'nt konw what that means.
But I installed my fuel pump 4 days ago, and I been driving around with it and it works great.

>Do your gauges get power? what gauges are they? mech. or electronic?
My gauge is mechanic..and it's max PSI is 100.
It stay at 0PSI when I turn my key to ON/ACC (no starting yet)
I haven't try starting the engine yet...but should the needle be at 0PSI when I turn the key to ON/ACC and the vaccum line is NOT hook up to the SFMU?

I haven't change anything in the SFMU yet... so everything is factory setting...I think it is the largest disk with silver spring.

So do any one knows what's up???
Thanks guys.

hook up the vaccum line.

start the car. if anyones fuel pressure gauge reads anything without the car actually running, then something is shorting out. the car needs to be running in order for the gauge to register anything.

idle pressure should be around 55psi. go ahead and run the largest disk and ring.. use the silver, bigger spring.

Hi, but if I am running, how can I set the static PSI?
Thanks.

If you've released the pressure in your fuel system (as you will when installing a fuel pressure regulator), your gauge usually will not measure any fuel pressure during fuel pump priming (turning the ignition key to ON). Once the entire fuel system has been primed after initially starting the engine or turning it over, the gauge should measure and display an increase in fuel pressure upon the fuel pump priming. The fuel pressure will immediately fall back to zero until you start the engine though. In summary, until the entire fuel system has been primed full of gasoline, the fuel pressure gauge cannot measure any fuel pressure... there is only air in the line.

If you need to set the static fuel pressure, just unplug the vacuum line going to the SFMU and set it. The engine will idle, even with the higher fuel pressure. I always unplug it before I start the car because if you pull the line off while the engine is already idling, the increased fuel pressure and vacuum leak may kill the engine.

Some tuners will tell you to just set the idle fuel pressure and don't mess with the static. That's fine... but if you need to set the static pressure, just make sure the S-FMU get's no vaccum (0 psi).

You set the static pressure by letting the car run, and disconnecting the vacuum source from the SFMU. this way, the SFMU sees no vacuum, and runs at the static fuel pressure. Make ure you cap or plug the vaccum line, else you're setting for fuel pressure with a big vacuum leak.
