5904, HRC KINDA SCREWED ME!
Posted by turbosrule, Jun-04-01 10:16 AM
Installed the turbo. Went to mount the fuel pressure regulator and noticed that the directions did not match my car setup. :-( When I ordered, she made a big deal about checking my production date, which is 12/95, but my car is a 1996 model and I have a 1996 setup. Instead of asking me the dumb f#$%ing production date, she should have asked me where my stock fuel pressure regulator was located. Mine is located underneath the car. They sent me the kit for the one located on the fuel rail. So my car will be down until they make good on this ordeal. So remember this if you decide to order from HRC.

An inconvenience to you but a minor mistake. Trust me that could happen no matter who you buy from (I didn't have any problems so dont read into it although I did have to wait for parts to become available).

You can still mount it in the back or you could run a fuel line to the back.

Believe me when I say our cars are different. I have noticed some wierd things with them. I run into the same problem with 96 and even some 95 dsm's some are OBDII and some not. it really pisses me off.
So, don't get to bent up about it. I'm sure they wil fix it.

I know Hahn is a great Company

Thats why I Ordered from them!
This was mostly to let you guy's know that if you are going to order a Turbo system and your car is a 95 build but your car year is 96 and if you know what and where your Fuel pressure regulator is be sure to tell them when Ordering be it Star,NER or HRC!

Btw- They took care of the problem RIGHT away :-)

Find your fuel filter, becuase if it's in the back of the car, so is your FPR. This would also mean you have a late fuel system.

If it's in the front, I would bet your FPR is too. Therefore a early fuel system.

I have heard there may be some crossover though, so be careful all the same.

Don't worry bro, HRC will help you out any way they can. I, too, had bad feelings toward HRC when the i/c pipes didn't work with my car because I have ABS brakes. There are so many variations with our cars it's rediculous. Just give Bill a call and he'll take care of you.
