Why buy a kit anyway? If you can get a manifold and downpipe to fit, your basicly done, lol. Fuel, oil, and exhaust. Thats basicly it. My "kit" came with no instructions whatsoever and missing a bunch of pieces. I don't see any point in kits unless you need a warranty and people to talk to.

Just a theory, and I don't really like what it implies... but once a kit is made and all the parts and specs needed to make it run successfully are known, it's a very simple matter to just copy the kit on your own.
It used to be (at least in my mind) that the HRC & Star kits first came out, they were the "only" way to turbo your 2gnt.
Now that we have the 2gnt board, several custom manufacturers, and lots of experience under our collective belts, I see only two remaining reasons for turbokits to exist:
1) Buy everything all at once, for those that don't want to be bothered by researching a custom build.
2) Innovations *can* come when companies like HRC take the money they make off the large amount of sales, and put it back into development of their kits.
anyways ok ill stfu.
