57866, HELP! SFMU issue (setting idle fp) Posted by Cereal5, Oct-06-03 08:41 AM
My current set up is the largest disk with the dark spring. I have stock injectors and walbro fuel pump. I'm running the Star kit.
Problem: my idle FP is around 65 psi!! And it won't go down at all when turning the screw on the top. It's turned just about all the way out right now. When I hit 0 on the boost gauge, the fuel pressure drops just a tad, then starts rising with the boost. What gives? I just checked all of the vacuum lines, and they're all fine. The SFMU is on it's own vacuum source, so there's no pressure drop. I don't have the restrictor installed, as I don't have one, and the three ports on the side are left how it came... bleed screw all the way in, nothing in the vacuum port, and the boost port i think is sealed.

Did you remove the stock FPR? Did you remove the fuel rail test port check valve?

Take a close look at the vacume port on the sfmu. Be sure the small allen head screw is in there, and screwed all the way in. Same goes for the boost port. Also double check your fuel lines, esp the return line, that its not kinked or blocked in any way..
