so anyone have any ideas as to how to add the oil pressure sensor to the oil pressure sending unit when we have the tee for the turbo feed line. there's not enough room for their already.


any ideas on where to add the oil temp sensor? should i drill at the oil pan block (which i really don't want to do-drilling that is)

id find a fitting that will allow you to have the oil pressure sendin unit, the oil temp gauge.. and the oil feed li ne for the turbo in one off the back of the motor.. they exist.

all you have to do is find a T at a hardware store, that you can put into the HRC tee fitting, and then you will prob need some reducer fittings to make it work. I used to have my car set up like that, but i just got rid of the stock oil pressure sender, since now I have the gauge to look at...

You really don't need the stock oil pressure sender if your installing a good oil pressure gauge. Its not a temp sensor, its a pressure sensor that will complete the circut when oil pressure drops below 5 psi and illuminate the oil light on your dash. you really don't need it.

makes sense that you dont "need" it....do you need any resistor so the light doesnt come on?

the light actually doesn't come on when you remove the sensor. mine isn't plugged in..

Actually you will get the Oil light if you take the sensor out and leave it plugged in. The pressure keeps the sensor circuit open, when too low pressure, 5 psi or less it think, it closes the circuit turning the light on. If you remove the sensor from the block then just unplug it and it will break the circuit keeping the light from coming on.

Guys, what I did was similar to everyone else with one exception. I merely screw a barb into the block and then remotely brought the line to the top of the engine bay, behind the intake manny. From there, I have all of my tees and sending units. That way, you don't have to worry about any loosely screwed in tees into the block* or difficult to access sending units.


*Some of you know what I mean by not being able to tighten the Tee all the way in because of your need to orient the Tee properly, by having the turbo oil line directioned towards the turbo.
