i've decided to install a custom turbo and was wondering if anyone know where to get a downpipe and oil and coolant kits. I'm installing a T3 turbo and cannot find these items.

You need to have one custom made. Find a shop that has a mandrel bender and specializes in custom exhaust. I welded my own with a MIG welder.

You have to custom create these too. You can get the parts at Summit Racing.

You're going to have to create mostly everything yourself. There is no specific downpipe or oil lines for your custom setup. That's why it's custom... you make it yourself. If you have a garage with the right tools and you have the skill and patience then great... otherwise, buy a kit.

Well I will be kind and help you. Personally I custom made my flange and downpipe but you can get all your oil lines from Hahns Race Craft. You dont really need the coolant lines Id just block those off. But Hahns is the place to go they will have everything you need.

Could you make me a downpipe? I don't have a welder and my car's all taken apart so i can install this turbo.

you need the car with the turbo bolted to the manifold to make a downpipe if you want it to fit properly
it's a 100% custom job

BTW you want to use which version of the T3 ?

Oil and Coolant are so easy to do
Oil you splice you oil pressure sender with a T it's a standard plumbing fitting, a good quality hose and you are done
coolant 2 T to splice into the heating system and the job is done too

basically for the oil lines yout gonna need a feed line, probably wanna go with braided ss line, I'm not sure how long, your gonna need a T which u can just use a brass one that u can find at any hardware store, it should be 3/8ths and the threading should be inside the T if that makes sens cause your oil sensor has to screw into the T now your gonna need a piece that will go into the T and into the place the oil sensor came from, so its 3/8ths threading but this time on the outside of it and ti needs to be threaded on both sides, now your gonna need a fitting that goes into the other hole on the T and connects to the feed line. Then lastly you need a fitting or fittings, however many it takes u to connect the other end of the feed line to the turbo. As for the return line, it depends on what it takes cause some have a flange on the turbo wheras others have a place for a fitting. If ya want me to help ya with the return line send me an e-mail with what type yours has, either a place for a fitting or a flange, Also alot of this stuff can be purchased on ebay but you still need to buy a few fittings. I dont want to be the nay-sayer here, but if your gonna do a custom set-up, you NEED to have access to a wide range of tools beyond your basic tuning wrenches and sockets, ie welder, porta-band saw, drills, benders, etc. if you do not have access to these then i STRONLY recommend that you figure out a different alternative to a custom job. With all the custom trouble shooting and parts headaches, your MUCH better off getting a kit. I know, i have a custom setup and it was NOT easy or quick.

A welder is a must...I would have been totally lost with out my dads MIG...custom brackets and pipes are manditory to make...at least for me. It tooke me about 3 weeks of working on mine at nights and weekends to complete. But I wish you luck with your setup and if you need help don't hesitate to ask.

P.S. I hooked up my waterlines and love it...my under hood temps stay way below what I've herad others describe and you don't have to turbo time as much.:thumbsup

3 weeks? Jeeze that took a while! My kit from motofool was a little incomplete... probably 10 runs to the hardware store, but we replaced every single fuel line on the car, SFMU, new fuel rail, 310cc injectors, hell we even piped my 1G sidemount. Did not need any special tools at all really. Just make sure you have a nice drill and a 150pc craftsmen tool set. Oh buy a big ass socket for your oil sender thing. :)

LOL...yeah I know...but I only got to work on a couple hours a night and few hours on saturdays...that's after I drove an hour to get to it after work...needless to say I was pretty angicous(SP?) to get her back on the road.

When i put the return line on the oil pan do I have to get it welded or can i tap it and just screw the adapter in or something? Also does anyone know hoe long s/s lines i need for the oil lines?

Its better if its welded or brazed, no chance for leaks. you cant tap it and screw it in cause theres only about 1/16th (maybe a tad more)of material to the pan. They have bulkhead fittings where you punch a hole in your pan and the inner ring seals against the pan wall, but again they can leak.
as far as lengths for oil into turbo uwards of arong 30-36 inches, maybe. i have a hard line so im not sure. from turbo to pan about 18in. (roughly)
