I need to find the cheapest place to order the clutch master stage 4 clutch,I guess thatz the way to go I read thru the archives, my new setup t3to4E 57 trim, man does it pull at 15lbs but then my clutch starts sliping. Should i get the modular or non modular setup, right now my stock clutch is modular. how do i convert to a non modular clutch, Do i just get a flywheel from the 96 to 99 eclipse. damm my car pulls harder than the 16g i had. i'll post up pics soon of my new setup.( )

I an running a spec stage 3, only 300 miles on it so far so its not broken in. It held well on the dyno last night, so far I like it. It does not make the clutch pedal heavy, it feels like stock and it easy to drive in traffic also.

TommyBoy.. you have a '95 right? If you do, then you have the standard clutch with the flywheel separate from the clutch. '96 and up have the modular clutch. BTW.. did you ever get new rods? Last time I remember you were bending stock rods. And are you still runnin 30lb injectors?

They are not all modular. I do not have a modular clutch but a standard clutch with the flywheel separate. I have one of the earliest models produced. Actually bought my car in 10/94. Trust me on this.

I have the cm stage 4 and you will love it. Some guys can't handle the grab or don't know how to ride it, but I just love it. Go through RRE. They hooked me up real good.

If you are going to go CM stage 4 call ARD and talk to them. I got my clutch for like $700ish through them, and they are good guy's.

raizin you are partially incorrect... its impossible to tell if the you are modular or non-modular based on the year alone.. i have a 95RS, production date of dec 94, and i was modular. with that said, tommy, if you are modular, then i as well as most other members on the board would suggest going to the non-modular setup. you can get a lightened flywheel (fidanza, cluchmasters, even a neon f/w is lighter by a few pounds than ours), and that way, if you were to ever wear out your clutch... you could just replace the just the clutch, not the entire setup.
i got my stage 4 non-mod from modernperformance.com (under the neon tranny section) a while ago for around $425.... and i mated it with the CM alum flywheel.

I'm sorry, I didn't get my cm 4 from RRE, but rather ARD. Nice guys who will defintely hook you up if you're from 2gnt. Shipped to my door for about 700.

700 dollars for a damn clutch? Forget that crap... I am not paying 700 dollars. I figured to spend like 400 tops. Guess I won't be getting clutchmasters, lol.

Yeah Razin. I was kind of expecting it at some point but yeah - he's got some Eagles in there now. I'd like to take this moment to thank Tommyboy for doing an incredible job with the stockers though. You really did push them to the limit. Thanks a million.
Tommy, good luck with your clutch selection. I don't have any input on that part....but good luck anyways. Glad to see you got some good rods and are spinning something fierce at this point. Thanks for all the stock rod strength info man. I think you probably helped more people than you can imagine. :thumbsup

I beg to differ sir, I have a 95 and my clutch was modular, so saying that a 95 will not have a modular is a false statement. I think certain 95's had a non modular clutch, but as seen on my car, it came with a modular.
