57529, Does the Map Sensor Register Air Flow For The SAFC? Posted by solareclipse98, Oct-02-03 07:38 AM

We checked the connections on the AFC and they are all good... but the AFC still doesn't see any Airflow.. it registers everything else it seems but doesn't register Airflow... could this be caused by the MAP?

Well I don't believe it can measure airflow, because we don't have a mass airflow sensor, our cars run purely on pressure sensors.

I'm confused the AFC isn't registering any airflow at all... it used to but now it's not.....
this is frustrating we have the pressure sensor set at 06 in 06 out... sometimes we drop down to 05 in 05 out... or 07 and 07....
Any idea's?

The AFC unstalled on our cars SHOULD NOT register airflow ever. We do not use an air meter that measures airflow. We use a pressure sensor, so the only reading you will ever get is pressure. if he was registering airflow, he had something hooked up wrong.
