ok today i got pulled over twice for my freakin blow off valve. twice! within about 12 miles of eachother, no tickets.... just asking why my car was making "sneezing" sounds. is there anyway to get this thing quieter? damn. i just threw my 3kgt one back on, way quieter.

They can pull me over all they want. Because it doesnt break any laws and if it did the cops around here wouldnt know what law it was. I like to watch peeps down the road turn a look to see what that f__ked up noise was. LOL!

yea well when u are driving in a tunnel next to a cop and he just stares you down after you shift you know you are in some shit. aftermarket turbo kit = nono in CA

especially a kit thats not carb legal, ouch....so yea needless to say my RFL is real fuckin dead

i do that too. the best is when you drive by someone who's been pulled over on the highway, spool it to like 10 psi around 3000 rpm's so the exhaust isn't THAT loud, then let off the throttle really fast.

i've gotten a couple of evil looks, which have all been returned.

but anyways... ways to make that thing quieter? load it up with all of the washers. i noticed that it made it a little quieter.

another way? maybe if you attached some type of air filter onto it (like one of those valve cover breather filters from autozone?)

anyways, you're at "stage 1", right? the RFL isn't even that loud at 5-6 psi.

How about trying to NOT shift right next to a cop???? :-)

I got pulled over day before yesterday cause of mine. Plain clothsed officer thought I was chirping my tires on shifts. I reved it up for him a couple of time and he was just like. "cool" and appologized for pulling me over.

i'd buy it for my 1g, but it vents to atmosphere and will screw up my sensors to make me run a little lean. x( does anyone know of a loud BYPASS valve? :thumbsup

Boost envy. LMAO. I finally got my turbo kit in it's entirety, and me and 2 friends put it on this past weekend. I wasn't quite comfortable enough with our work to take it out on the road yet, plus my hood won't close cause the compressor is directly in the way. Hopefully we can trim the little flimsy ass metal support beam enough to let it close fully. If not, I'm going to have the body shop mold in a little mini-hump right over the compressor housing. That would look pretty neat. The downpipe motofool provided me did not fit, so we had to cut out a large piece of it, and insert flexible tail piping to snake around the a/c compressor. This shit isn't air tight at all, so a lot of my exhaust is seeping through it into the engine bay. Oh well, after the turbo it doesn't matter much anyway. We also gutted the cat while we had it off the car for the exhaust work. The owner of a local car dealership where my dad works owns a dyno for his race cars, and I spoke with him today and said I could bring it by the shop for some free dyno tuning. BADASS :) I'll scan the printout and post it when I get it in there.

if that downpipe section is not welded shut or closed tight, you will get a cel 51. Just a heads up, so you wouldn't be surprised.

Thats too funny. I woulda just acted dumbfounded and said "are u sure car will make it home ok officer?" lol
The coolest thing is you can run bovs on 2gnt's vented to atmoshpere all day long without problems like on the 4G63's. Wish i could do that on the 1G :-( unless I go stand alone or get a GM mas.

Damn. just sold my rfl too. guess ill be buying another one in the future once i get the $ together for the turbo kit.
