They'll keep blowing off until you have your pipes beaded. I welded beads around my pipes and use T-bolt clamps.

my home-made piping holds 18psi with no beads and regular high-torque worm-screw type clamps
use longer couplers and more clamps ;)
(or do what ur supposed to do and add beads on the ends of the pipes ;) )

George, I kept blowing my BOV off my piping until I took my car to your my car to your "Just Right Automotive" guy and he put a bead around it. Hasn't come off since. I'm sure he'd like to see you again. :rolleyes

if you dont want to bead your pipes you can always flair the pipe end a little. you can just use pliers. do that and clamp your shit tight and you wont have a problem,

Spray some hairspray on the pipe before you put the coupler on. Get some T-Bolt clamps, clamp it down hardcore, and let it set up. You will not blow them off, I guarantee. -=B-=

You can bead them with JB weld too. I think RRE has a writup on the how to on this. I did it with my IC pipes and they NEVER blow off. ;)

I just can't trust jb weld. Just imagine your pipe blowing off and taking a chunk of jb weld off that somehow gets sucked into your engine. That would suck.

Is there any certain hairspray we are supposed to use? Will it hold up to 20psi ? I will try that if that doesnt work I will try to get them beaded. What type of shops bead pipes ?
Edit: Not all dsm's suck, just mine :)

Any shop that can weld can bead your pipes. Basicly he just runs a bead of metal around the whole pipe to create a ridge for the clamp hit so it won't pop off.

I have custom piping and no beads or anything. I just use 2 clamps on some of the connections. and I use the cheap regular clamps. I have been up to 18 psi also.

The hairspray tip is a great idea. That's an old trick for putting on dirt bike grips; it provides lubrication to slip them on and when it dries it acts as a glue to keep them from slipping off.
