56982, S16 to S20G Posted by Jasvb TS2K2, Sep-25-03 06:16 PM
As of right now I was thinking about rebuilding my S16G. They take and it's dissassembled, polished, rebalanced, new bearings, seals, and reassembled for $300. But Hahn does a S16G to S20G upgrade for $499.00. With a rebuilt motor, would this be good? Should I get something? Can I get this done better elsewhere? Any suggestions appreciated. One thing, I'm on a budget so I don't have $800-1000 for a great snail beast upgrade:wary Thanx

Easily said. but remeber I'll need bigger injectors, maybe fuel pump, SAFC or other controller, Better IC piping and DP, porting work, and other small things I can't think about. All costing more than pocket change. :wary

you dont need any of that stuff unless you are going to crank the boost..

with a conversion to 20g, if you dont change the boost(asin raising it) then there should not be much of a fuel problem then its not *that much bigger* you might need to adjust the pressure a bit and maybe turn down the boost 1 or 2 since it does flow more air...
Bill
i say convert it
