i dont think this is the delta gate...because i was looking at others on the star kits and they had a vaccume valve on top.

notice those two holes in there, one more on top and one lower...what are those?

here is taloniized star kit...they dont look the same if thats what you're asking.

I beleive the hole on top is for any aftermarket boost controller, while the lower one is that you connect to the compressor nipple. I have a star kit but my wastegate is Tial. but I would think its the same setup.

are turbonetics and tial the same setup..? i have no idea...anyone else feel free to chime in...

that is NOT the one that comes with the star kits. They come with a delta gate mark II . Maybe they started using these now? or did you ask for it?

i ordered the stage 2 from overboost and they gave me this one.

give us a pic of the top. What does it say on it?

and like i said it does not have the valve on top like the delta...it is just flat like tial.

the valve on top is just supposed to be open to the atmosphere anyways (on the deltagate). Not sure if that helps b/c I'm not sure exactly what you're asking...

he's right. the top nipple thingy is an atmospheric bleed valve. don't attach anything to it.

ok, thats cool...for the deltagate..but how do i hook up my wastegate, since as you can see it is not the deltagate. there are two holes in it which i assume go somewhere...check out the pic.

you hook it up the same way you hook up the deltagate, that's probably some other wastegate turbonetics makes. MAKE SURE YOU PUT GASKETS. hehe I found out where my little exhuast leak was, at like only high RPM exhuast smoke would pour out of it.

ok i see from that pic that you have a 90 degree fitting on the top of your wastegate next to the atmospheric pressure valve...where is that vac line from that fitting going to? and where is the vac line located on the side of the wastegate going to.

i am guessing that the 90 deg fitting and that vac line which is located on top your wastegate was simply relocated onto the side of mine? and that the lower "hole" on mine (see pic) is just the same as the hole on the side of your wastegate too?

let me know if i am wrong. my gate didnt come with directions that is why i am asking so many questions so i dont fuck anything up.

Without having a diagram of the wastegate, it would be a guess as to what those two holes do. Like Hades said above, they are probably the same holes, just relocated. His port on the side goes to the vac signal(whether at the manifold or turbo) and the one on top goes to the variable boost control thingy he posted the diagram of. Now as to which of yours is which...I'd say search the web for a diagram of your wastegate or call Overboost and ask them for a diagram.

yeah so i emailed overboost to send me a schematic of this wastegate just to be sure of what is what. i am pretty sure that the upper hole on the side is just the same as the hole on top of the deltagate, just relocated.

any other ideas, or anyone else who actually owns this particular wastegate let me know!

well ive learned from a fellow star kit purchaser from overboost that this "turbonetics evolution" wastegate is an upgrade from the deltagate mark 2. star ran out of the mark 2 and decided to throw these in as a freebie. well, i am excited now woooo!
