I didn't want to bring back any old thread for fear someone will freak out. :P But I wanted to let you guys with FMIC, know that this thing was tested by the great:rolleyes Mach V on their EVO and the results are short of amazing, see for yourself. :wary

What's wrong with that? They got 50hp for only $500. I paid $2000 for a turbo kit that gave me 60.

you guys are missing the point..... intercooler sprayers will do nothing for you but give you headaches..
all they do is lean out your system using colder air.. which does nothing more than allow you to risk blowing up your motor. if you tune for the colder air, then your car will run rich as hell when not spraying, and when you are spraying.. it will run just the same as if you weren't because you have retuned the system.. its a waste of money.

So whats the point of having an Air intake temp sensor?

i thought that the IAT sensor did something important with ignition timing...?

mmkay? thats why factory cars like the srt and evo come stock with them. they DO work, you just have to know what you are doing with your tuning. ever heard of an automatic retard at higher boost? dis-2 all the way. w3rd. colder air = more boost capabilites = more hp
its very possible to get very good gains from a an IC sprayer....same concept as say, a fuel cooler.

n-tercooelers are only meant to be used inbetween runs. yes if you spray while boosting, youll lean out, NX's site even says, do not spray while racing

i didn't say they didn't work. i said.. why would you want to use one when potentially all it offers is a blown motor.

turbo8u
The factory ones are water squirters...nothing more. They by far dont come close to the efficiency of the gas discharge units.
as for these n-tercoolers... ITs the same thing mentioned above and what ive been saying all along. These are not for on the fly use. Yes to reduce heat soaking and to use them before a run or in between. The only real benefit i see here is if your on the dyno and shooting for HP or a the track with a dedicated drag car or one that CAN compensate for the colder air. Think of it as a water intercooler with ICE in it... above 100% efficiency.
