Ok, so i was going to mess around with the eic today. Its all hooked up, but I cannot get the software to work. It runs fine on my desktop, but on my laptop it cannot connect to the serial port. It seems like its missing support files or something. I have mscomm32.ocx on the laptop. I dunno what else to do. On my desktop i run super.exe and it displays the matrix but then says it cannot connect to the eic. On my laptop it does not show the matrix thing when i hit the go buttion, it says "Couldnt open specified COMPORT, aborting".


Looks like someone had the same problem, but it dosent say how they fixed it.

The laptop works fine with my datalogger over the serial port. I just dont get it. Any ideas? x(

When you run super - it has Port menu option where you can select the port. Are you sure the correct port is selected in there?
