alright I tried searching...
I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me the exact purpose of a turbo timer? And don't be sarcastic and state the obvious

when you stop, your turbo is still very hot and still spinning. the turbo timer alows your engine to remain running for a specified amount of time (without you having to remain in the vehicle), and let the turbo cool down some while their is still oil flowing through it. the main cause of turbo breakdown in the past, was from oil being cooked in the turbo after shutdown.

did I answer it?

turbo timer are really cool. it's wild to turn your key off, and have your car act as if nothing happened and remain running.
people give you the wierdest looks when you leave your car running and go into a restaurant or grocery store.:thumbsup
