Well I'm running a full rebuild top and bottom. I put in Crane 16's with the turbo. What settings on the cam gears are people running? Well the exhaust is set at 0. I turned the intake to 4 retard and had little if any bottom end but alot of top end. With the intake at 7 retard lots of bottom end but felt like no top end. Then I triied intake at 5 1/2 retard the engine wanted to start poping between gears. Oh I also have an automatic. I guess I just want to see what everybody else is running for cam gear settings. Thanks

I have not tried this, but I think people were running 0 on the exaust and advancing 4 digrees on the intake. retarding the intake sounds like a bad idea to me.

You could always put them both at zero and leave them alone. You're making too large of adjustments to begin with. Go at most two degrees at a time. I'd suggest trying 0/0 first, then perhaps E0/I-2 to takeout a little overlap and see how it responds.

Do you have a high stall torque converter? from what I understand, to get the best out of these cams you need one, because their greatest flow is in the top end. basically, what I am saying is that you might want to tune for the top end, and live with a little less bottom end, and maybe look into a higher stall converter.

Yes, I am running a high stall convertor.

You need to degree the cams..

Yes, I know that. I am wondering what others are running their cams at. I want to start from some sort of baseline. As far as I know I'm the only one with a turbo and Crane 16's.
