55892, new dyno numbers (again)
Posted by siueclipse, Sep-09-03 05:15 PM
329whp @ 16lbs of boost - 1550egt - and yet again, no print out or exact reading for torque... but it should be around 340 or so...

for some reason he couldn't get a good reading from my plug wires for the torque.. kinda irritating.. and yes his printer was working, but it had no damn ink! lol he still has them saved so.. i can get them later sometime..

can't wait till my intercooler sprayer gets here for a little kick.

i still need to adjust the cam gears, add boost, add cams.. im going to see 400whp before the end of this season :)

well.. im tuned about perfect right now running the third to smallest disk (i believe the 2.72) in the smfu.. with 85psi of fuel at wot.

i have a little left to lean out but i think i will leave it a tad rich just to be safe

damn man outstanding numbers! :thumbsup i'm surprised how much HP our cars can get with pretty low boost, damn you're almost to my goal, i just need some of the mods that you have to make it there. you could almost be 400whp even before 20psi. you defintiely could handle 20psi with not probs and 93 octane or race fuel especially if you're tuned real well. man i know once they have that short runner intake manifold, bigger TB and you're in there.

time to start thinking of upgraded axels...
what size injectors are you using? are you leaning them out with a SAFC?
Mine should be ready to roll out this weeekend!

what is your idle pressure?
mine is set at 11-12 and it is still pig rich.. hehe so I use the safc to lean a bit...
we will see how she performs this weekend.

Upgrading axles is one of those things you don't need to even think about until you start consistantly breaking the stock ones. The stockers should be fine right up to 400whp I believe. Why fix something that isn't broke?

i broke axles at 250whp.. its not how much hp man.. really.. its the launch.. its the sudden yank on them that makes them snap. you don't have 250hp instantly at a launch at the track... but yet tahts where i broke mine.

Damn... that's a ruff launch to break at 250whp... slicks, drag radials?

Cheap out The Driveshafts Shop... they have excellent quality shafts.

Great number james! You must have seen a good increase with that s20g! what did the 20g compressor housing run you?

the hate started with 4g63 guys talking shit about us 420a guys. with people coming up with bigger numbers like this the 4g63 people are stuck with thier foot in thier mouth.

The numbers are good, but the 4G63 has done a lot more. No reason to even mention them here in this post. Save that for elsewhere.

I have seen an axle break on a stock car with lots of traction. It has a lot more to do with that then it does with just power. Some cars break axles, some do not. They are worth replacing only if you already have a problem breaking them.

I think the biggest problem now for making a lot more power will be the injectors running out of steam. You can still make a bit more though. Good job so far.

the 20g ran me about 700 bux from hahn.

yeah the injectors i have i can tell are going to need to be replaced when i try and go over 18 to 20lbs of boost with them.
