Im going to be sending my block off hopefully to FTY for that 2.2 stroker and was thinking maybe I could order my turbo kit from HRC at the same time and hopefully both get them at the same time for one big instalation. FTY said there turn-around time was 4 weeks, so anyone know HRC's time?

Your turbo kit will definitely be there faster than your built block. From what I've read/heard, Faster Than You uses VT Engines to build their blocks.

I have purchased a turbo kit (Stage II) from Hahn Racecraft and received it in about 2 weeks. My intercooler was on backorder but still got it in good time.

I have also sent my block out to VT Engines on the first week of August and have not received it yet. In all fairness to VT Engines, they did have to send my crank out for a regrind because one of the journals was damaged. VT Engines does not regrind cranks on site. Another possible reason for a somewhat long turn around time is that I ordered a bunch of parts from Nick at VT. They may not have received them yet (new water pump, paint the block, new oil pan gasket, new tensioner pulley, new timing pully, new spark plug / valve cover gasket, etc). For a built block, I would say 6 weeks is probably the average from VT Engines (depending on how busy the shop is).

I personally do not mind the wait as from what I heard VT Engines does great work. I have also been impressed with their customer service as they have called to give an update on their progress and didn't leave me guessing. They are also very flexible as they can get any parts you need for your 420a.

Hope this helps,
Kurt

xEclipsE RaceRx, i've always thought your car as one of the top 5 nicest on the board. it will be even better with boost.

lol I am surprised no one said anything about the turbo and the engine install yet. I wouldnt install both at the same time, or atleast not the fuel system. I would just get the engine running first. Some shavings could go through the oil and damamge the turbo. Def not a good thing on new turbos.:-)
