Well my local Autozone did not have a valve stem puller, so i have to splice into the fuel line to set up my wet kit. Anyone have any advice on how to do this? Anything I should look out for?

hmmmm, so you're trying to remove the check valve from the test port on your late 96+ fuel rail so you can run fuel lines for a wet N2O system?

don't give up doing it the easy way. cutting a fuel line, T'ing it off, and then sealing it up again is a PITA.

go to any hardware store, or better yet, a bicycle shop. they'll have the right tool you need to remove the check valve from the test port. it's called a schrider check valve removal tool i think.

yeah...definately find the tool...autozone ppl are semi-retarded and they don't have poo for invatory. If schader valve gets you funny looks....ask for a valve core remover. That's what I've always called them. good luck!:thumbsup

they have the tool at walmart for $1.94 i used it when i removed mine it worked like a charm.

Thanks allot. one more question. I have seen the testport look diffrent on some dsm's. Some have the valve sticking out others (like mine) dont?

mmmm...what year is yours? On my 98 it sticks out the passenger side on the end. I think on 95's and some early 96's it sticks out the back towards the center.

mines a 97. At the end of the fuel rail there is nothing sticking out, it just ends.

Kind of, it looks like the drivers side of the fuel rail. It just ends. I'll try and post a pic of it.

The test port on your car is most likely on the top of the fuel rail, sticking up, around cylinder 2. Autozone carries the Schraeder valve tool. It is usually used to remove the shraeder valve on a tyre.
Pliers usually work, too.
