I already used search function, and read everythig that was intresting about custom turbo.

I`m plan to boost my 96 RS with on my own. After couple off thousandth posts i`m still confuse about fuel. I know that stock injectors will be all right for 7psi and i need change fuel pump and fpr. I was wonder if stock GS-T GSX pump, and stock fpr could be used for custom setup. Anybody try it ? The walbro pump and vortech sfmu are to expensive for me (i`m living in poland and tax/shipping make prices multiply by 2) so i`m want to replace it with something cheaper.

After everything will be on car, I will take it to local chip tuner, and plug in the stand alone fuel comp that will take care about good afr on every rpm`s. Is useing sfmu necessary if ECU will have fuel maps with injectors open times? Could it be replace ?

With a standalone system, there would be no real need for a sfmu. You could buy a high flow 1:1 regulator like the AEM or the Aeromotive instead.

As for the fuel pump, if you are using stock injectors and a high rise rate regulator (sfmu), then you must use an inline pump in addition to the stock pump. HRC uses the Accel inline pump in their kit. The reason you cant use a walbro or a gst/x pump is because they dont flow enough fuel at higher pressures. You need a pump that can still flow the proper amount of fuel at 110-120 psi of fuel pressure. If you use larger injectors and a standalone system, then you can go ahead and use a walbro. If you use a gst/x pump, then you will have to upgrade once you start running around 15 psi of boost.

All right, so if I will decide to use stand alone + stock injectors + stronger fpr I`ll have to purchase fuel pump that will supply enough pressure, somewhere around 110 - 120 psi ?
What if I use adjustable fpr to increase pressure (adjustable fpr are cheap) and stock gst/x fuel pump connected to stock injectors, will it supplay enough fuel. (max boost 7 - 8 psi)
Everything control by new fuel maps from stand alone unit.

I`m just searching way for rebuild fuel system as cheaply as it is possible
