I might buy some 440cc injectors for a friend. I looked on hahn's site and they only sell 415cc injectors. So.. are the 440cc injectors the wrong impendance? Will I need a resistor pack or will they work just fine. He says they are for 1st gen and 2nd gen eclipses, so im assuming they are for the 4g63.

the 440's we usually just reer to as "440's" are typically from RC engineering. They are high impedance saturated injectors, just like stock. Have him test the resistance on them before you buy - 16ish ohms - saturated, 2-3 ohms - peak&hold.

you need an ohm meter...go figure :P j/p

But seriuosly...I have a digital multi-meter that can mesure resistance.

They may also be the 45lb'ers from a Ford Lightening which are also high impedance.

They're also referred to as "green tops" in reference to their color which is almost a lime green.

well, i can't decide what to do...

should i try and go with the 8 injector setup or just run some high injectors?

well the 8-injector setup is alot better then when i was using a afc. but the choice is yours since its your time and money and tuning skills etc.

my friend tested the injectors and he said they are doing 11ohm's. what does that mean? they arent 16ish like saturated, but they are peak & hold either.

any ideas?

11 ohms DOES mean they're saturated. I get about the same or closer to 12 ohms when I do a resistance check on my stockers.

I did just realize that I was using a very old multimeter to test them and since the resistance is measured using an onboard battery, it could explane why I got a low reading. The injectors were for my 2002 Eclipse, but the connectors wern't right. They are different from the 1 and 2G eclipse. I bought them before thinking about what I was buying. The car is currently a non-turbo, but the injectors are the only thing keeping me from installing it. They are for the 4G63 engine though. ""

Must be to use those in a 4g63 you have to take out the resistor pack....I guess....doesn't make a lot of since to me...

Could be...but I think it would be a little odd to have such large injectors for a non turbo. But I've been thinking about this...and now that's it's morning and I have a clearer head, I think it would be pretty safe to get those. Like JasonESi T said...his stockers tested at 12ohms, and if your friends multimeter was reading inaccurately that might explain the 11ohms he was getting. Especially if it was one that uses a needle rather then a digital readout. An analog one might leave something the operator’s discretion.

I'm running 450CC peak and hold injectors from a 1G DSM turbo in my Eclipse RS right now... It's not a problem. With a resistor pack it works fine... Imade my resistor pack myself, the ECU sees hte exact same resistence as the stockers....

The resistence isnt the only difference between the injectors though... but they should be fine.
