54351, Guages? Posted by Syn, Aug-19-03 01:05 PM
I just came into some money, so I'm going to be putting the 14b turbo on my car. I have a parts list together, I was just wandering if anyone's guages all look the same? I was wanting to use A/F, fuel pressure, and boost on the apillar, and volt and oil pressure on the guage cluster. I just cant seem to find all 5 guages that look the same. Also, do I need a fuel pressure regulator, and blowoff valve on a 14b? TIA

I got all of my z-series guages from him at what I consider a pretty good cost.

You might wanna get a egt gauge too. Also instead of getting a 14b u should just get a 16g which directly bolts into the 14b housing.

what he said...I think that would be more important then the volt meter.
I got all Phantom series so they match my white/indiglo overlays for my stock gauges.
And a definate yes on the FPR and BOV

Yeah I'd scrap the voltmeter and go with an EGT gauge, then you could get an HKS Type1 Turbo Timer (I'm assuming you were planning on getting a turbo timer) which has the volt meter function programmed into it so you'd be killing two birds with one stone.:thumbsup

In addition to getting the EGT, I would consider putting your fuel pressure gauge in your engine bay or mount it just in front of your hood so you can view it when your driving (make sure it doesn't mess up your wipers) Usually running an FPG inside the car is not a good idea since they have fuel in them (unless your spending big buck on an electronic one). Then you can put your A/F gauge, boost and EGT on your pillar. You also might want to make your oil pressure gauge an oil temp gauge, since that's more important w/ a turbo.
