Obviously I don't have my turbo yet, but I wanted to install my autometer boost/vac gauge just because I'm bored. I have the 5 fittings that autometer gave me, and the 2 metal saling ring things. i have tried what the directions said to connect the hose to the gauge, but it pulls right out. what am i doing wrong? am i supposed to crimp the little metal rings, so they pinch the silicone hose? wouldn't that mess up the airflow?

You probably figured out that brass ring get compression fitting in the backside of the gauge ... it can be a real pain to get that stupid thing in there. Glad you figured it out though. Good luck boosting!

Smart man ^^^^. That was my plan too, and would have been if a turbo kit didn't come along in the for sale forum I couldn't resist. I have my rebuilt engine sitting in my kitchen though,... just waiting to be installed this winter .... :P
