53862, Another question about the Missing Link... Posted by Phat99Eclipse, Aug-11-03 05:19 PM
I currently use the Split Second FCD. I want to go the way of the Missing Link since so many people have great things to say about it...
My question is should I leave the Split Second and use the Missing Link in conjuction with it since one is electronic and the other is a check valve...
Should I remove the split second and just use the Missing Link???
Thanks again for the help...

you wont need the fcd w/ the missing link. w/ the missing link, the map will never see boost, so the voltage should never be high enough to cause fuel cut.

What are you confused about?
You just cut a piece big enough to just fill the hole and the rest is for later if you ever change the filter out. It doesn’t really matter which way it faces.

UHHH filter? I've had one for over a year and I don't remember cutting one out.
Am I missing something here?

There is a little tiny foam filter that goes in the SIDE of the missing link, DO NOT STICK IT IN THE END. In the picture above, the ML was mounted so that you can't see it. The filter would be on the opposite side of what your viewing in that picture. Like mentioned above though, it doesn't matter how you mount it though. If I took that same pic of mine, you would see the filter facing you. You will have some extra foam left over ... how generous of Synapse.

The filter goes in that little hole on the side, and you trim off the excess filter with a razor blade.
