ok so i got my car back today.. it was like 110 where my mechanic lives so we had a small temp rising issue on pick up.. no big deal drive it on down to my local area ( a little cooler ) and the temp does not rise.. cool..
well i notice i got a P0132- o2 sensor circuit high voltage
( Bank 1- Sensor 1),,, im thinking my 1st o2 is bad am i right? also my bud thinks its no good anymore.. also we notice that my car would idle fine, then idle really bad then we give it some gas and it idles normal?? also i notice when i reset the cel code P0132 and started it... it idle fine then bad then gave it some gas and it was fine again.. for this could whatelse could it be?....
now the simple thingy.. what causes boost leaks? just intercooler pipes, and vacuum lines? seems like i cant go into boost at all.. i just want to try and see if it will go up to 1psi or so.. any ideas? also seems like my boost gauge is not moving around at all, but my vacuum line is hooked up to one of my T to the intake manifold..
oh yah question for you guys, if im just breaking in a motor ( no boost) is stock gap for the spark plugs ok for now? my mechanic put stock spark plugs in... haha

cool.. i got the car running good. no cel now and my a/f is cool.. only got that boost/vacuum leak somewhere.

seems like every now and then day or night after some driving around on my new motor it tends to go to the H side.. not alot but enough to say ' i think i got a problem '... on my datalogger it shows 130 about when the coolant temp starts to go up a little.. if i let it sit at idle for a while the temp will drop, or if i turn the heater on it will drop also.. i just put a new thermo about 3,000miles ago ( a little before rebuild ).. could it go bad this quick?... i plan to flush the coolant and add some waterwetter stuff along with a new stock thermo and gs or gst cap. any ideas?

130 on the datalogger is very low. At operating temp, the logger should read around 205 degrees. I had this problem awhile back too and the sending unit for the stock temperature gauge was bad. It's the sensor in the thermostat housing that has a single terminal sticking out and 1 wire connected to it. I would make sure that the connection is good 1st, and if it is, try replacing that sensor.

i just flushed the coolant and added some waterwetter along with a new thermostat for kicks, but ill go driving tonight when its a little cooler and see what goes on..

Clarify for me, did you have the turbo kit put on and get a rebuild done at the same time, or did you have the turbo kit on beforehand?

And yes, boost leaks are *usually* caused by a bad vaccuum line connection, or intercooler pipe connection. Go over them all one by one and check them. I hated the HRC provided hose clamps, I went out and bought better ones.

been boosting for the last two years only the last two months i had a rebuild done. well the cooling is fix for now... i just got to replace my ps belt since its getting eatin up tommorow then the beast should be good to go.

If your overheating problem isnt remedied yet, id look to the waterpump possibly if it wasnt replaced during the rebuild. goodluck with the big boost man!!

hey dude, well the water pump was replaced with the rebuild. well so far today in ca no overheating.. i changed the coolant added waterwetter, thermostat ( stock ), and changed a sensor (again) and so far so good.. i must have drop 25miles in 91-95 degree temp outside and all was good. then i drove it during 9pm for 30miles/60miles total and all was good.. i will run it again tommorow..
