Anyone ever see this, or know of anyone who uses it? They claim up to a 35% decrease in intake temps. They also have a co2 intercooler sprayer and fuel cooler.

Yeah.. it works fairly well on boosted cars from what I'm told. I've got 2 buds that work for DEI running it.. (one runs a MKIII Supra and the other is a worked over WRX) I saw them both running a consistant 1/2 second faster at the Shoot-out.

I also saw that in my Super Street magazine. I was wondering how much of a difference it makes and how much does it cost to keep refilling the bottle with C02? Unless it is fairly inexpensive and you spend a lot of time at the track, I just don't think it would be worth it. I might be wrong though.
BTW: Matt, I saw in your signature that you plan to tune to 15 psi with larger injectors in the near future. As of this morning, I ordered the 390cc injectors along with a Clutchmasters Stage 4. Once I get the car setup, I'll let you know my base/boost fuel pressures to have as a reference for your setup.

co2 is cheap...like 2-3 bux for 16oz. would cost like $15 to fill the 5lb bottle that dei sells

Well made a few calls today about this. Talked briefly to DEI, and they say that a full 5 lb bottle it comes with, will last approx 2-3 minutes of continous spray. It can be activated by a in car pushbutton, or a WOT switch. I figure you can get at least 13-15 1/4 mile runs on a full bottle. He said you can also use a normal Co2 bottle that is larger too if you like. A local place in town, can fill the 5lb bottle for around 9.50 I can get this setup from my shop, for around 235 bucks. The bottle and hardware is in a separte kit, and the intake is a separte kit. You need both. I am really considering going this route. It would be really cool, and also, really easy, to run this on the dyno. First run just keep it off, then next run spray it and see what happens. I will prob just get the intake air cooler for now, then see what that and the IC cooler together can do!

From the couple guys I talked to that were actually using it. They had to have a different tuning setup due to the fact the car would lean out with the extreme cold ait intake temps. They were using the NX express intercooler kit with N2O though. They found there best results freezing up the intercooler right before the run and not using it during the run.

Yeah, i had thought about that too. That much colder air will lean you out some. But, depending on how much it cools, you may be able to run on the "edge" so to speak, of fuel tuning, since the much cooler intake temps will provide a cooler burn in the cylinders, and will also help prevent detonation a bit. It's pretty much a try and see what happens kind of thing i guess...They are saying a drop in temps of around 30 degrees or a bit more, which would bring me in the 120 range with this SMIC. I dont think that would be enough to really lean it out too much. Its more for detonation safety, rather than making more power. But i figure with a 30 degree temp drop, that upwards of 10 HP or so can be obtained.
