Well, that might be the source for my MAP code and possible fuel cut. also found a few shavings inside the intake, underneath the MAP sensor. Most lilely from my intercooler mod that required some cutting. I tried to clean it out REAL good with air and water, but appearantky not enough....

anybody got an extra MAP sensor they wanna sell me?

yeah, that's what i was gonna say..i'd be more concerned with the engine more than the map sensor :o

the weird thing is, they are in the MAP sensor AFTER the missing link. theres no shavings in the ML itself. Looking at it, i HIGHLY doubt that they could have made it thru the ML and into the MAP without having been bent or caught up in the ML. if they were going to hurt my engine, wouldnt it have already happened by now?

take your oil filter off, and cut it in half, if you have alot in the oil filter, you have problems

The thing I would be the most concerned with, is the small metal shavings scoring up your cylinder walls. If the metal was injested into the cyldinders, it could have made its way onto the cylinder walls, or even bits of it melted to the head/valves or whatever. I would do a compression test, just for the hell of it. It prob didnt do any severe damage, but its always a possibilty. If you start to notice any decent amounts of oil burning out the exaust, then i'd bet you scratched up the cylinder walls...def do an oil change right away too . Hopefully the metal just got sucked in, then got blown right back out into the exaust..
