Anyone know the torque spec for the HRC exhaust manifold and also for the valve cover? Thanks thanks.

I do the manifold tightening according to feel. I think HRC torque specs are somewhat light, but they're listed at 15lbs. If you get studs and nuts instead, (from say the 4g63 by going to the dealership) you'll have a much better seal and better results. With those, I'm sure you could eek out at least 20-25 ft./lbs instead. Again, I always do it by feel though.
As far as the valve cover, you do those in sequence in three stages. Each stage is about 3 ft. lbs of torque to finally 9 ft. lbs. Just do the central 4 first and the outer 6 last, working your way out.

koo koo. thanks. i just wanted to know the specific torque spec for the manifold b/c i'm always leaking. i'm guessing its because i didn't torque them the same because i also tighten them by feeling. maybe next time, i'll torque them at 25lbs and i'll see if it works. if not, i gotta get me a new manifold b/c mine sucks.
