51919, What injectors?
Posted by thegame, Jul-11-03 05:51 AM
Well.... im thinking about getting some injectors. Im using the stock ones now, at 7psi (stage 2). Im eventually going to upgrade internals. So if I bought say 30lb injectors, would they still be ok to run about 15psi? Basically..... What injectors (if any) could I get now, that would work and still use once I get more boost?

Or.... should I keep waiting on hrc to reveal their new fuel setups?

Well i have the 30 lbers, and i believe i am pushing them pretty good at 13 psi. My fuel at 13psi is over 100 psi. You *might* be able to push 15 psi, i know i may try it here for the Shootout, once i get my 2.5" DP on. Thats another thing, i wouldnt even try 15 psi on 30lbers without at least the 2.5" turbo back exaust..If you are set on 15 psi, get some 37 lb injects, roughly around 390cc's. That is plenty to run 15 psi safely. YOu can prob squeeze out 17 psi out of those..

the biggest i would go without any fuel control would be 440cc about thats the max. it has been done to someones car with the afc to 'fine tune'.. well thats what i would do if so.
good luck

390cc injectors and a SFMU should get you to 18psi on race gas pretty easily. i like the way the car runs on the 390cc injectors WAY better than with the 440's in there. the added idle fuel pressure at idle really improves throttle response and feel.

Mark just made 330hp and 360lb-ft of torque at 21psi on the S16G using 440's and the S-AFC on a mix of roughly 97 octane. Daily driver on stock head and cams. Any questions?

I am suprised he has not made a post about this. Maybe I should.

if i bought the 390cc injectors now (only at 7psi), they would still be ok/good? i know theyll be good later on when i rebuild and have more boost, but it wont be too much for what i have now will it?? if not......

IS ANYONE SELLING 390CC INJECTORS?? if so, let me know asap! or know anywhere that sells them for a good price?

How far down the line is your rebuilt? I just ordered 30lbs cause I am not going past 10psi for a while, if ever, (plan to sell car). So if you are a while away, get the 30lbs, sell them later, people always looking for them, and then get the bigger ones. They aren't more than $140 new eitherway. :wary Just a suggestion.

390 to 400 would be fine, u would just have to find out the fuel pressure setting for full boost on WOT and your good :-) its all elementary my dear, 2+2 is 4
