51877, I guess you call call this "Frankenstien Turboing" Posted by speedbump, Jul-10-03 01:28 PM
Im thinkin about buyin a Stage V turbo from HRC, but i would like to make some changes...
Do I have to keep the turbocharger provided? or can i swap in a HKS 3240 Ball Bearing Turbo w/ 56T trim, 0.87 A/R, T25 Flange, external wastegate
Can i have a racing wastegate? like the one used on the HKS Lancer EVO, or one that is similar? personally i think the HRC wastegates are ugly...
Can i have a Blitz SS blow-off valve with my kit???
Can i have a huge intercooler???on that takes up the entire cnter opening on my Front Bumper???

T-25 flange won't fit an HRC manifold. Buy a 25G if you want a big turbo :-)

Does it really matter what it looks like? A internal does the job just as well, and a "racing wastegate" is just a bigger gate. Sure, you could add a flange for an external if you wanted...

If you add a flange onto the HRC pipes.

The HRC FMIC is pretty f'n big.
