I just found the Hobbs pressure switch at NAPA in stock (part num 701-1577) for ~$30!

I have a 20 lb full tank of co2 in the garage for carbonating our beer! }(

So im going to get the pressure switch, some copper lines, and all the shit to build this thing tonight. I guess the pressure switch is factory set to 15 psi, but is adjustable. I will probably use a switch inside the car to turn the system on and off. And have a buttion to manually spray.

Now all i need is a the sprayer solenoid!! anyone know where to find this?

use a nitrous solenoid it can hold back a few hundred psi easily. check ebay for something like that

The first G guys I talked to recently dont like the intercooler sprayer. You will need to retune your car due to the decrease of intake charge temp. They say it is better to just spray a min or two before the run and not to use it during the run. There was a problem with leaning out during the run (lean = blown motor). Just be careful and please post the write up for all to learn.

Yes this is true, you are suppose to use it before you run. That way your intercooler is ready for the up and comming heat not trying to cool off the heat already created. Heat is dissipated when water evaporates right? kinda the same theory here you want it to be read , not throw water in to a hot pan...sorta speak.

I was gonna do this, but due to financial troubles, im going with a spare wiper pump, and nozzles, some nylon tubing , bam, water sprayer.

if you're not supposed to spray while you're running then isn't it the same thing as getting out of your car and spraying your IC with a spray bottle while you wait between runs?

i've been thinking about doing something like that too. take the windsheild washer tube and re-route it to the intercooler. would be really easy to do and probably quite effective for the money. i'd just have to find some type of nozzle or something to spray the water instead of it just cooling off a few intercooler fins.

Theoretically you need to retune your car after you do any mod to it.

I guess it could lean out your mix due to the dense air. But hot air does much wose. I would rather tune to cold air and let it run rich in the heat. When i was datalogging the other day my intake air temp was 110! fuck that. I know i need to get some cool air to the filter and some heat sheilds in place also. damn michigan weather! }(

just buy some cheap washer nozzles, they spray pretty evenly if located properly, ill take pics later.

doesnt the EVO sprayer spray constantly? not constantly i mean but while driving?
