I used the search and couldn't find anything that helped. I just installed a gadgetseller "full throttle mod" a/f gauge. In the instructions it said to expect the first couple led's to come on occasionally during cruise or idle, but mine is cycling all over the place and 4 to 5 led's are on at a time. At wot, it goes to green, but there are 4 to 5 led's on with the last one being the brightest. I tapped into the signal wire at the ecu, and grounded the gauge to the engine at the intake ground strap. Any ideas??? Should I ever see more than 2 or 3 led's on at a time? Also, before i installed the gauge, I installed a new oem o2 sensor, could it be bad? The car is kind of running rough, but that could be plugs, I've been playing with the fuel alot. Thanks

Check your ground for the a/f guage. Could be it. A shitty ground can cause all kinds of wacky af readings.

hrm i have an autometer ultra-lite A/F gauge..and so does my friend..it cycles around while driving around like you said but at WOT it goes to "Rich" aka "Green" and stays there when i'm at WOT..then when i release off the gas it goes to "LEAN" for a couple seconds then it starts moving around all over the place and cycling..it's normal for my gauge..dunno about yours.

I belive its normal, mine does the same. And yes, make sure the o2 sensor wire is in a safe place where it wont melt and ground out, it can cause all sorts of problems.

I don't mind it cycling so much atless than 80% throttle, but at full throttle, there are so many led's on it's impossible to tell the signal voltage. I've tried grounding the gauge at the intake ground strap, the battery, inside the car, and at the ecu ground point. All with the same results. I've also made major fuel adjustments with little or no changes in the gauge's readings. Basically, if I wanted a light show I would have bought strobes! Anyone have any ideas? It should cycle back and forth under normal driving, until you hit the gas hard enough to put a lot of load on the engine(like 80% or more throttle) or when going up hill, stuff like that. if you are going down the road, and let off the gas with with the car still in gear, it should sit on lean(or red in your case) until you either hit the gas again, or put the car out of gear.i have a digital AF gauge(only way to tune accurately IMO)and it sits at .017-.038 when i let off the gas completely going down the road. its totally normal. and of course at WOT, it should stay in the green.

i had the same problem with my autometer af. It was a bad ground. make sure your contacts are clean, break out the sand paper.

i dunno..it sounds fine to me..double check your wiring and connections..if everything is good..get a new gauge :/
