trying to do more and more on this haltech install.

I know our crankshafts have a toothed wheel on them that is what the crank angle sensor reads off of. If someone could take a look at it for me, and tell me how many teeth are on it, and if there is any teeth missing, i would greatly appreciate it. If you got your motor apart, and don't know what i mean, ask me and i'll let you know better what i mean.

They have a magnetic pickup bolted onto the end of it (exhaust cam). No teeth :(

i know about the exhaust cam. There is another crank angle sensor though on the crankshaft. And yes, i have the factory service manuals, and no it doesn't cover the crank angle sensor all that well.

I might be able to help you out. My engine is dissasmbled right now over at the shop. I might be able to get over there this week. (skateboard for transportation)
But i know what you are talking about. It for sure has teeth. you want to know how many?

Look at the Tech Manual linked to in my signature. Page 40.. it goes over the crank angle sensor in detail.

wow...my friggin factory manuals don't have that in em..hmm....that is cool that it is in there. Now all i gotta do is figure out how that works. DOH...why did i buy a haltech? Ohh well..it will be cool to get running
