51191, anyone ever used tetra(sp?) check valves

my friend has an older integra with a custom integra and he uses something called tetra valves to keep his map sensor from seeing boost. they are made for fish tanks or something i believe. thought it was pretty cool. anyone ever heard of doing this?

Yup.. It would be kind of hard to rig for us. I would def stick with the missing link or black box. No question.

you can use them for cheap inconsisitant boost controllers too...
a buddy of mine is using it on his jetta, works ok sometimes, othertimes its a pita. when it does work, its really spiky and your really not sure how much boost you will run, ive seen it spike up to 18psi. cant figure out why he just doesnt get a real mbc or ebc...
overall they should stay in fishtanks. not in cars

AHHAHA Yeah, eclipsekaiser has a Tetra(tm) brand fishtank checkvalve!

Its exactly the same as any other air line check valve, he uses it on the bleed port of the sfmu / fpr to bleed off boost.

Petco and every other pet store carries them. 99 cents.

I've been using the same check valves since '97. Worked perfect for me ever since.
