sorry its me again.;( anyone with the star stage 2 kit. it gives you that map sensor bypass box thingie. has anyone installed that thing. it looks like a little kid drew the wiring diagram, so im not sure which wires to splice in. i dont want to mess up my map sensor. anyone remember what they did. im so close yet so far with this damn turbo kit. i hope its worth the aggrivation. thanks again for your help guys.

its really easy.... just find the map wire (yellow with black stripe) and cut the wire the end coming from the ecu goes to the green wire on the black box and the wire thats coming from the map sensor goes to white wire on black box. the red wire goes to power and black to ground. :thumbsup

LOL ITS ACTUALLY THE SAME THING THE STAR KIT SAID BUT FOR SOME REASON IT ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE TEH WAY YOU EXPLAINED IT. THANKS

okay i understand the wiring now, but i have the s afc 2 also , so will that map sensor bypass thing affect me tuning with the s afc, or would it be better to just leave in the map sensor and tune with the s afc2. :7

your not getting rid of the map sensor all together by putting in the black box. just install the black box and use the safc to tune. it will be fine.

I say eliminate one more possible electrical problem while you can, and get a Missing Link MAP Sensor check valve from Group5Motorsports.com. you wont regret it. if you do stay wit hthe one that came with the STAR kit, id take some liquid electrical tape and coat the whole circuit inside the box with it. thats what i did, cause mine sure did rattle a lot.
